9 Kilbrandon Cottages is a delightful two-bedroomed semi-detached holiday cottage, sleeping up to four people, in the fishing village of Balvicar on the Isle of Seil, in the beautiful County of Argyll. Situated just south of Oban, the Gateway to the Isles, the island is linked to the Scottish mainland by the famous “Bridge over the Atlantic”, built in 1793. Seil is the most northerly of the Slate Islands, with the other islands of Easdale and Luing reached by short ferry journeys. It is a wonderful area for walking, birdwatching, cycling, boating and fishing, and is ideally situated for exploring the other attractions of the West Highlands and the Islands.

The cottage offers very comfortable self-catering accommodation, with a new luxury kitchen and many personal touches. It was our own holiday cottage and weekend retreat for years before deciding that we loved the island so much that we wanted to live here permanently. We will be here to welcome you personally and to show you around the cottage. For the benefit of our overseas guests, one of us speaks French and German. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome.

When you arrive, to help you relax and unwind, you will find a welcome tray with home baking, along with a complimentary bottle of wine and free-range Balvicar eggs!

We hope, like us, you will find the cottage to be a wonderful base for exploring this peaceful and tranquil area, with its great natural beauty, spectacular scenery and abundance of wildlife, and that you will enjoy discovering its many hidden places.
